Product care

All pieces I make are finished with a 100% food safe blend of mineral oil and beeswax. For heavier duty protection, I recommend picking up my wood conditioner, which is a blend of mineral oil, beeswax, and coconut oil

Be sure to wash your board, utensil, etc after use with hot soapy water, then wipe off with a rag or cloth and allow to air dry. Never put any wood pieces in the dishwasher!

Make sure to fully wash both sides and the edges of your cutting board, and try to stand up the board when drying to allow air to move around the entire board.

Items that are used and washed regularly should be treated with mineral oil (top and bottom, as well as all sides) at least once a month - and more frequently during winter or other dry periods to avoid drying and cracking. Mineral oil is very inexpensive and completely food safe, and can be found at most drug stores like Walgreens, CVS, etc.

Mineral oil should also be applied if you notice any small cracks, if a piece becomes rough to the touch, or you notice any liquids start to absorb into the wood. Do not use edible oils for board treatment (vegetable oil, olive oil, etc) as they could become rancid.

Never put your wood items in the dishwasher!
